there's this perfect girl and I want to be her?
There's this girl in my year in school, who is impossibly perfect. I would hate her out of jealousy but it's impossible she's so nice. I'm obsessed with her; it's not that I'm lesbian or anything, a lot of my friends feel the same we can't help it. It's weird I know but everyone wants to BE her. How can I stop feeling like this as I'm sure it can't be healthy.

She's really naturally pretty (I know this shouldn't be important blah blah but it's part of what makes her perfect.) She's well groomed and has nice clothes, like nails always clean or done and hair always nice but natural looking. She has a great body naturally and from dancing; she isn't a slut or anything but we live near the beach so we see it all in summer.

She's popular - gets invited everywhere, hated my no one, has that "popular air" about her like she should be intimidating but she isn't cos she's so nice, she's a natural leader. She has a group of best friends who she's REALLY close to and is always there for them and they have loads of fun and get invited everywhere etc.

She's nice - really kind, even if you hardly know her she makes you feel comfortable talking to her and is friendly to anyone. When she sees someone being mean/unfair she says so and stops it but in a nice, reasonable way so there's no resentment. When you're with her you know the group won't be allowed to leave anyone behind or vicitmise anyone in the way that a group of girls often naturally does.

She's smart - not the cleverest girl in the year but definitely up there, teachers like her but not in a way that makes other students dislike her for being a suck up or anything cos she's not. She is organised and gets good grades but doesn't show off about it. Knows everything and random facts, can always help with homework in subjects she doesn't even study.

She's well rounded - as well as being academic, she does a bit of EVERYTHING extra-curricular. Sport (netball, dance.) Music (plays clarinet in school orchestra, is grade 8, also plays guitar, piano and sings.) Public speaking (school team.) She's on a million different societies, and runs activities for younger students at school. She started an Amnesty club and really cares about charity and human rights etc. The only thing she doesn't do is drama, and I suspect that's just because at our school the school play takes up all your time so she wouldn't be able to do any of her other perfect things. In school she's just everywhere, like involved in and in charge of everything.

Boys love her - she's just so cool and down to earth and girly and funny and cute omg. She'd be like the dream girlfriend. Somehow she gets drunk and has fun with the rest of us, but is never slutty. You'd never catch her making out with a randomer. She's never had a boyfriend as far as I know, probably cos everyone knows they're not good enough so don't ask her, and she manages fine without one. Or maybe she has one but just doesn't go on about it.

She has a job - works in local shopping centre in a Pineapple shop on Saturdays so gets free make-up and skin stuff. Makes her independent and sophisticated. She doesn't get money from her family so she does the job just to keep up with the rest of us who get money from our parents, so she's still not rich or anything.

On top of all this she has a mentally ill mother who she has to look after a bit, but she plays it down most people don't even know. She has 2 little sisters who she helps look after a lot as her dad works and her mum has her problems, they're really cute and perfect too.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I CAN'T EVEN GET MY HOMEWORK DONE AND THIS GIRL IS DOING LIKE 120938473928 THINGS PERFECTLY, ALL AT ONCE. I know I'm crazy and sound a bit lesbianly obsessed; I have considered that I fancy her but I spoke to some friends and it's not just me who has this girl crush. Like I don't want to get with her, I want to be her or have her as my bestfriend/sister or something. I cannot find a single tiny flaw in anything about her I don't understand

Want to play my digital music around the house, what's the best way to go?
I have about 150G of music that I would to like play through speakers in my living room. I would like to be able to control my play selection from my Dell lab-top, so whether I'm in the living room or the kitchen I can sift through my music library and make a selection. Right now I have all my music on a Mac (not located on the same floor as the kitchen and living room) and the songs are backed up on an external hard drive. What's the best set up to get this done? Using and Airport Express? Self Powered Speakers? A wireless set up?

We bought my 12 yr old son a lightup keyboard about 4 yrs ago, and we always say it's one of the best presents he has had! it was a casio! you don't have to have the lights on! just seen the comments above, i disagree the lights are very good, and my son also took keyboard lessons! But he has taught himself a lot too, it's amazing what he can play without lights, that the lights taught him!
References :
It really depends on how much you want to spend and how serious you think your child is about it. You can go cheap and get a keyboard that is not full size and has no high tech gizmoes, or you can get a full 88 keys with all the gadgets. I have a Yamaha that I adore. It cost me $800 with the stand, a bench, and a sustain pedal.

No matter what you choose, I would get one with a headphone jack so he/she can bang away on it without waking up the neighborhood.

I would say that the light up ones are a waste of money because the "monkey see, monkey do" method of learning is not sufficient. You need to have your child learn to read music, not stare and follow lights on the keyboard. Otherwise, he will never REALLY be able to play music.
